Crosswalk - Compare the Options for the Milwaukee County 2018 Budget

As the Milwaukee County Board has deliberated options for the 2018 Milwaukee County Budget, many have exclaimed that they wish there were more options. Supervisor Deanna Alexander is pleased to announce offering a 3rd option for the Milwaukee County Budget, one that will achieve a balanced budget with minimized tax levy, minimized borrowing, and no increase to the wheel tax, while restoring funding that would have been cut to the Parks Department, restoring funding for bus routes, restoring funding for homeless shelters, restoring funding for child support, restoring funding for the Office on African American Affairs, restoring funding for senior centers, and prioritizing public safety. Please click the link above to view a multi-page “Crosswalk Document” detailing the differences between the County Executive’s proposed budget, the County Board Chairman’s proposed amendment and Supervisor Alexander’s proposed amendment. Supervisor Alexander is grateful to Supervisor Dan Sebring for co-sponsoring the amendment.
